Last Saturday was a blast as I went to my very first street party with friends! Here’s are the photos I took that night! I only took photos with my phone because I heard it was going to be a wet and wild party. So I apologise for the blurry or bad quality photos!

When we got to the event, the party was already well under way. We were just in time for the street dance-off, though. Groups from different universities of the city faced off in the streets, surrounded by a crowd that they had to impress or they were OUT!

It was truly a party. The loud music just reverberating in our chests, blocking out all thoughts of everything else. That night it was just the music, the alcohol, the crowd.

That night, we saw a stand selling drinks inside plastic water bottles. I got the Jamaican Kiss (a rhum-based drink) and slurped it all down through a straw. I think I had two. We also got paint on our faces from strangers!

Got to meet my beautiful friend, Connie! Can’t believe I found her in that crowd!! So happy to see her again!!!

It was a very selfie night despite the rain, the beers being thrown into the air, and the crowd! We all got pretty wet but it was part of the fun!

The DJs were on fire and they knew just what to give us! The party kept on going, rain or shine!

With the late-comer. We got to go up the balcony area. Special pass thanks to a very unexpected friend I met there!!

We got a pretty good view of the place from up there. Haha!

After the party sort of died down, we went to McDonalds for a bit of rest and I got to meet up with even more unexpected friends there!

With my good friend Jericho, who I originally planned to go to the party with but never got there. All is forgiven when he gave me a ride home. LOL.

And that was pretty much my Saturday night. Definitely enjoyed it and will definitely do it again!
