Yay! I finally get to attend a Davao Bloggers Society Acquaintance party! And no, I wasn’t threatened at all to attend!! No, no, no.
[Chamee and Sarah: If you’re not at the party, it’s friendship over!]
Urk! I know they were just kidding but it was added motivation to really go! But I really was planning to!
The party was held at the newly opened restaurant, Bucket Shrimps(one of our generous sponsors)! This was the first time for me to visit and I was stunned by how pretty the place was!
First thing that came to mind was “cute”! Haha! I loved the blue, greens, oranges and whites! Simple yet striking!
I was late in coming, though, because I had a prior party to attend to. When I got to the event, everyone was already eating!!! But luckily, the program proper hasn’t started yet!!
Here are some of the beautiful people I got to share a table with!
And here’s the wonderful people over the next table!
I didn’t get to eat too much from the buffet (because of my prior engagement) but!!! I did enjoy the iced tea they served!!
It’s in a jar!!! I know most drinks nowadays are served in jars but I don’t know… this just appealed to me. Also, my hair wasn’t so bad yet when I came in! Yay!
So, anyways, we all eat dinner and the program commences. Our hosts that night were Sarah and Madie!
They definitely ran the program smoothly. Here are some of the highlights of the night!
First and foremost, the newly elected DBS officers take their oath together with the outgoing President, Dulce Lada!
Look how happy they all are while taking their oath!! Who wouldn’t be, though, if you’re going to be officers of the best blogger community in the country??? Am I right, or am I right???
Here’s the complete list of the new officers! Congratulations!!!
Here’s to looking forward to more awesome times with the DBS!!
Next up, we had a classic DBS game! I say classic because the bloggers LOVE joining games like this.
Everyone was teamed up according to their tables and, luckily for me, I was in the table with the most “rowdy” members! Including me! HAHA
So that’s our group name. Diyosa, Barbie and Friends. Diyosa (or Goddess) is Ate Ria, Barbie is…well, me… It’s an inside joke from the Blogger Bootcamp way back when… and the others are the friends! Haha! We managed to place 2nd in the end. It was a good thing too because the winners donated the prize money to a good cause while we were shouting that we were going to buy Jack Daniels with it. LOL!
The third highlight is the raffle! The prizes were so awesome but sadly… I wasn’t eligible to join because I didn’t tweet hashtags on twitter… .___. I thought hashtags on facebook were included but no…
So, while people were winning prizes from our sponsors… I took photos with some of the sponsors products!
First up, Lachi’s desserts during the event!! Delicious munchies!! Too bad I only got one because I was late and they were almost extinct.
Next up is My Skin Origins! I finally get to talk about this soap they gave to everyone who attended the party! (So generous lah!) So, after I got home from the party… I immediately used the soap to wash up and boy! Did I feel fresh and smooth afterwards! No kidding! I’m using the soap every morning and night now! You guys should visit their page and go buy one of their products!! (I can be a model for them now! Haha!!)
And here we have Krispy Kreme! They were very generous in sponsoring boxes and boxes of their very delicious donuts!!
Me and Sarah were happy people! Haha!! Got to take home a box, too! 😀 Do we pass as models for KK? 😀
The other sponsors that I don’t have a photo with are Tune Hotels, Smart Communications, Cebu Pacific and Banana Beach! Bucket Shrimps, as I’ve already mentioned at the start of the post, is also one of the sponsors!
After the program was concluded, it was time for another activity we bloggers love to do! Picture taking time! It was by niche at first. Like, what kind of blog do you have? I joined the food bloggers and the personal bloggers!
More personal bloggers than food bloggers. Haha!! After all the niches were finished, it was a big, group photo with EVERYONE! I didn’t get to have my camera brought to the front so I took photos from where I stood! It was crazy!
It was definitely a fun and lively party! The Davao Bloggers are the best!!! I can’t wait for the next one!! Cheers!!
I leave you all with another photo of me. Muhahaha!! 😀
