Sad as it may seem, there will always be people coming and going in our lives. But true friends remain with you even when they’re not close to you. Those are the special ones.

My recent Sunday was a very friend-filled day. I had lunch with the usual Sunday Lunch Group composed of my high school friends. This was a bit special because Yang-Yang came back for the weekend from Cebu. She’s taking up a culinary course there. So jealous! It was nice to see her again after two months. She’s definitely learned a lot in that small span of time (because I kept asking her questions). Also, she’s quite knowledgable on bars and clubs now!! (Joke lang Yang! XD)

We ate at Belito’s, one of our favourite spots for Sunday Lunch Meet-ups!

And we had our staple orders of Belito’s Paella Negra, Beef Salpicao, Shrimp Gambas, Crispy Pork Riblets, and Bokchoy! And afterwards, dessert at Alor’s! Black and White!! Yum!

Group photo of those in attendance! Can’t wait for the next Sunday Lunch Date! I also can’t wait for Yang-Yang to finish her culinary course and cook for us! Mashed potatoes first? Haha!

After lunch was dinner with Danix and Rhan, friends I met through the cosplay community. Sadly, this was going to be the last dinner I have with my dongsaeng, Rhan. He’s moving to North Carolina for amount of time. It’s uncertain when he’s coming back, or IF he’s coming back… so it was nice to spend some quality time with him and Danix before he left.

We ate at Peri-Peri at SM Ecoland. It was such a huge dinner we didn’t get to finish any of the food!! D:

But it was a great bonding time. Danix took videos of us while we were driving back home. Something to look at in the future. I’m going to miss my oh-so-skinny dongsaeng but I am also very excited for his new life and adventure in North Carolina. Hopefully, I get to visit him there some time!

As a going away present, I made a little painting thing for him with the quote:

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”

by Alan Watts.

Change might be scary but once you take the plunge, you’ll find yourself asking why you were ever scared in the first place.

To both my friends that are out there pursuing their dreams and starting new adventures, I hope to see you again real soon! 😀
