Last weekend I went on another trip with my friends to another destination that’s not-too-far-not-too-close from home. Following our Getaway to Mati a while back, we headed to the mountains where we relaxed, played table top games, and karaoke’d well into the wee hours of the morning at Hill 88, Buda.
After a very satisfying lunch of fried and adobong hito (catfish) at Santander, Los Amigos, Tugbok District, we wove our way up the mountains to Lorega where our cozy cabin awaited us.
The place was more than anything that I expected and I was so excited to just lounge around, relax, and spend quality time with my friends after I saw how warm and welcoming the place was. Couple that with the cool temperature that’s always associated with BuDa, and that completes the RnR package!
Here’s my photo diary of our time at Hill 88!
The very spacious living room area was perfect for our many indoor activities! And since it’s almost Christmas, they had a Christmas tree propped up!

ANG KRISMAS TREEEEEEE!!!
I went a little photo crazy when we entered the house. The rustic feel and the wooden walls and floors were too much for me to take!
It didn’t take long for all of us to settle in and feel at home! As soon as we all picked which beds we were sleeping in, we immediately gathered to play games and chat.
Service was also really great here as we’re served breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in between by the friendly staff! Living like kings and queens, we were! If kings and queens played Cards Against Humanity and did karaoke ‘til their throats hurt.
Eventually the day’s events caught up with us and one by one we all drifted off to sleep. Everyone really only got some proper sleep after the last people on the karaoke machine stopped singing. Which was Kat and I. We were really just serenading everyone to sleep!
And, like all good things, our Rest and Relaxation Weekend came to an end. That meant we had to take a ton of group photos. Which we did.
The guys decided to take a photo with Ate Sandra. She took care of us and fed us during our stay and tolerated all our shouting and loud singing.
Hail Sandra! Hail Hydra!
And this is the house we stayed in. I’ll miss this house, and I’m sure everyone else will, too. I hope to come back very soon!

During our stay, three of us found out that we were THE LAST WATERBENDERS of Earth.
Gianne, of the Thundering Waterfall Style.
Dennis, of the Raging River Style.
and Nesty, of the Zohan Dolphin Style.
