I know. I’ve been away for a HECK of a long time. I couldn’t believe it myself when I checked on the date of my last blog post! To be fair, at least it was still within the year. (January…) But I have been on some epic adventures this year and I can’t wait to chronicle them all, thoroughly, on the blog! But for now, I’ll take you on a quick trip of my 2018 so far!
First of all, I have been to four different countries this year! It’s crazy! I was in Dubai earlier this year, and we went to Oman during the duration of the trip. Dubai stole my heart (mainly because of all the cookie spread brand Lotus-based desserts). It was a sudden decision on my part to travel to Dubai this year. I am glad I said YES when I was asked to go because it was an eye-opener!
In the middle of the year, we went back to the US and Canada! We spent most of the time in New York but I also visited Toronto, Montreal, Las Vegas, and Utah. This US trip was PACKED with so many surprises and dream-come-trues. It was such a surreal trip and I can’t wait to blog about it all in detail!
Book Effin’ Con
Okay, this happened during the US trip but it is by far the HIGHLIGHT of my year. I got to go to Book Con 2018! BOOK. CON. I couldn’t believe my luck! To be honest, I DIDN’T KNOW about Book Con until I searched for ‘things to do in New York‘ prior our trip to the States. When I saw that it was happening while we were there, I immediately booked tickets and researched as much as I could about all the awesome stuff that was going to happen. I’m going to be dedicating a whole blog post on this event. It. Was. MAGICAL.
I kid you not when I said the US trip was surreal and made some of my dreams come true. Yes. I got to see Celine Dion LIVE in Las Vegas! IN LAS VEGAS! It was my first ever concert and it could not have been any more perfect that it was a Celine Dion concert. She is a legend and I was in awe the whole time. Sadly, photo and video taking wasn’t allowed. We managed to sneak some shots but it was very dark and my phone doesn’t do well in low-light conditions.
I’ve done it. I finally made a bookstagram account! It’s what’s been taking up my time lately. But, honestly, after creating my account I found a whole bookish community in the Philippines that I did not know existed! And I am in love with the community so very much. I’ll be adding a book review portion on the blog soon so there’s that to be excited (and lazy) about! Here are a couple of shots I’ve uploaded on the ‘gram!
I have a lot of blog posts pending, I know, but I’ll probably start a bookish category here first containing my book reviews. It’s time to revive this blog!!
